The Compliance Checker for Accessibility is a national initiative to help design teams evaluate their BIM models for compliance with Singapore’s Code on Accessibility 2025. Built on Solibri’s rule-based engine and aligned with openBIM (IFC) standards, it enables early-stage code checking for accessibility — giving project teams clear, clause-specific feedback before submission.
Who’s Involved
This project is led by AcePLP, in collaboration with Solibri powering the rule engine and checker logic, BCA providing regulatory guidance and support, Plannerly supporting model readiness through structured information templates, and Arup contributing QP expertise and validation feedback. Together, we aim to build a smarter, standards-driven approach to digital compliance in Singapore’s built environment.
Timeline
Alpha Testing Phase (before 24 Nov 2025)
Internal testing with contributed models to refine the rule logic and performance
Beta Testing Phase (24 Nov 2025 to 24 May 2026)
Public access to the checker via this site. Firms can upload and test models directly. A free Plannerly template will help users check model readiness before running code validation.
Contribute a Model for Testing
We invite you to contribute your project models as sample data for continued testing. Each model helps the team validate the checker across different building types and design scenarios, strengthening its accuracy and relevance for real-world application. By sharing your models, you play a direct part in building a more robust and reliable tool for the industry. These models help us test whether the checker can interpret data accurately, identify edge cases, and ensure that its rule logic works across different building types and modelling practices.
We’re especially looking for models of
Shopping malls, hotels, dormitories
Healthcare facilities (e.g. hospitals, clinics, nursing homes)
Transport interchanges and terminals
Mixed use developments.
To be effective for testing, models should include:
Basic structural elements (e.g. slabs and columns)
Sanitary fixtures
Defined spaces (e.g. Revit Rooms or Archicad Zones)
IFC+SG export in IFC4 reference view
You don’t need to provide a perfect model.
During alpha testing, our team will work with you to review and clean up the model where needed. We’ll help ensure it meets the information requirements for meaningful rule checking, and provide feedback so you can better understand how the tool interprets your data. We’re happy to sign NDAs or accommodate usage restrictions. All testing is done in a secure environment, and models are used strictly for internal R&D. Your contribution helps us build a more reliable, usable, and accurate compliance tool for the entire industry.
Data Security
Your model stays yours. When you upload a file, it is only used for checking. It is never stored or shared. The checker runs in a secure, cloud-hosted environment and we do not require project names or any identifying information of the model.
How to Get Involved
Help us test and refine the checker using real-world projects. We’ll support you in preparing your model. Join the free training workflow to learn about the compliance checking workflow and give us your feedback on whether the checker produces results as you expect. Tell us how the interface can be improved by completing the feedback form after beta testing the checker. QPs in Singapore are eligible for 4 CPD points on completion of beta testing.
Attend one of the free weekly workshops
The Compliance Checker for Accessibility Workshop gives you first-hand experience with Singapore’s new automated model validation workflow, developed to support CORENET X digital submissions. Through guided, hands-on exercises, you will learn how to prepare and assess IFC+SG models for compliance with the Code on Accessibility 2025, use automated checks to identify non-compliances early in the design process, and improve the quality of information in your model for better coordination in your project.
Check Model Readiness for CORENET X and the Compliance Checker for Accessibility
Our project collaborator, the wonderful team at Plannerly, has made it so easy for you to check if your IFC+SG model is suitable for CORENET X submissions and the Compliance Checker for Accessibility. Using your free access to Plannerly through the beta testing phase, you will instantly verify if your model meets the information requirements. No manual checking needed! No flipping through our PDF BIM Modelling Guide! The free workshop guides you through the Plannerly features for instant automatic validation of your model’s information requirements.
Share your feedback as a beta tester
During the beta testing phase, your experience and feedback play an active role in shaping the Compliance Checker for Accessibility. As you test your models and share comments, the project team reviews each submission to identify where rules, classifications, or workflows can be improved. Insights from your feedback are analysed and incorporated into subsequent updates, ensuring that the checker evolves to reflect real project conditions and industry needs. By participating, you help refine a tool that will serve the wider built environment community.
